Went to Pulau Lang Tengah at Terengganu for a holiday trip with my girlfriend and her sister and sister's boyfriend. We travel from Sungai Petani, Kedah to Kuala Terengganu by bus from 10pm and reach Kuala Terengganu early in the morning next day around 5.30am. Been to a totaly new place feel scary also, so we chartted a taxi to take us to eat breakfast in the local chinatown. After that only depart tp Merang Jetty, that is located 60km from Kuala Terengganu town. Nothing much to said about Kuala Terengganu town in this early morning cause no activity at all.At the Merang Jetty we took the speedboat to the Lang Tengah Island together with us are 3 malay guys from KL. The boat ride took us around 1 hour, i even have time to take a nap in the boat since i dont have a good sleep on the bus.
The weather all these 3 days is nice, only night time is a bit stormy at the 1st day. We went for snorkering round Lang Tengah Island and Redang Marine park, play banana boat, play congkak and sing karaOK. We cant manage to see the legandary famous blue sand at night near the seaside. That is our only regret.
The trip back to Kuala Terengganu is ok, but the bad news is we have to stay in town untill from 11am to 9pm to wait for the bus back to Sungai Petani. Conclusion is Kuala Terengganu is a damn boring town, not a single cinema in town. The local here also dont wanto rent car to outsider, so all the while we stay in the Mydin and Giant...so call the biggest in town. But the size is not even 1/4 of the KL mid valley.
The bus trip back is awful, the seat is small not confortable to sleep and the stupid bus driver son keep on distrubing all the passenger along the journey. But thank God we all safely reach Sungai Petani alive.
